I have an att iphone 5 and my wife has a Verizon phone 5. Instead of getting her cracked screen replacement can I just swap them and give her my screen? I can live with the crack she apparently cannot. Are the screens for the two devices interchangeable without cause any issues.

Probably. Doing so, or opening the phone for any reason will void any remaining warranty/Applecare on the uncracked phone.
These phones warranties have expired and we did not purchase addition protection. I just want to know if anyone can verify switching screens is possible.

Have experience repairing micro electronics? The right tools to remove the screen/digitizer...they are glued together...without buggering stuff?
If so, have at it. If you're successful, it will work. In my experience, most folks screw things up & end up with a pile of junk.
The phones are identical except for the modem and firmware. The screens are the same.

You will not need to seperate the LCD and digitizer if they're both fully intact on both phones. Speaking from much experience, the iPhone 5 screens are very tricky to switch. Be extremely cautious of the LCD/digitizer cables coming out of the screen. They are very fragile and quick to break when attempting to re-install the screen.
iPhone 5 has much fewer steps than 4/4s but it quite a bit more technical. If you attempt, please reach out with any questions.
I have done my research. Replacing the screen on the iphone 5 is a lot easier compared to when I fixed my previous iphone 4 last year. There are tons of step by step instructions and videos on this. I'm willing to do it myself. Just wanted to know if someone can confirm if the screens are identical. Thanks.

This forum is littered with post asking "what did I do wrong" after attempting screen transplants. You're likely to end up with 2 nonfunctional phones, costing you a lot more than getting your wife's screen replaced by an experienced tech with the correct tools.
There IS another option. Some Apple stores can replace the screen for a fee. Call your local stores and ask. There are also many independent shops that can do it.
Can I switch screens with a Verizon iphone 5 and att iphone 5? One is cracked one is not.
