there is no reading list button in safari tool bar

There is no reading list button in safari toolbar.

There are no reading list options in Preferences.


The only way i have to add something to my reading list is to hit the bookmarks button to see the left side bar, then hit hte reading list button, then drag and drop it in.


Didn't there used to be a button with a pair of glasses on it???

MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012), OS X Mavericks (10.9), 2.7 i7, 16GB RAM, SSD, 2TB TM USB

If Favorite(Bookmarks) bar is hidden, click the "View) menu in the Safari menu bar and


select " Show Favorites Bar"


Click the Book icon -left most- in the Favorites bar.


Side bar will open up showing Bookmarks and Reading List.


Click the Book icon again to close the side bar.


The " + " button, just left of the address in the toolbar, will add an article to the reading list
