Migration from PC to Mac

Once you migrate a PC to Mac and the information from MS Office is loaded in Mail, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote if I load Office for Mac, will the information then get moved over to the respective Office products or do I have to load the Office for Mac and then migrate from the PC all over?
