Dec 22, 2013 10:24 PM in response to d.whittakerby R1s1ng_Pho3nix,Are you using the most recent version of iTunes? It should be iTunes 11.1.3(8). If not, try updating and then try again. Also, try restarting your computer. Sometimes the USB ports can be weird about that.
You may have to restore your phone from within DFU (recovery) mode.
1. Open iTunes and have your sync cable plugged in, but DO NOT have the cable plugged into your phone.
2. Press and hold the power and home buttons together until the screen goes black, you will see the Apple logo screen first, but then it should go black. Once this happens let go of the power button but continue to hold in the home button for about 15-20 seconds. Once you have done this, plug the sync cable into your phone.
3. iTunes should recognize your phone in recovery mode.
4. Restore.
If this doesn't work, and you need to get out of DFU mode. Unplug your phone from the sync cable, press and hold the power and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo. Once you see the logo, let go of both buttons and your phone will reboot.
