anyone know how to send an app as a gift?
I meant to purchase an app as a gift but must have missed a step, it is now on my launchpad. How to I get it from there to the intended recipient?

You can't, once the app has been bought incorrectly, it is your app. You can't share your apps, that's software piracy. And to use your app the recipient would need your Apple ID and password.
You need to follow the steps correctly if you want to Gift this app.
