Only shows apple icon when powering, wont work beyond that, HELP?!

why wouldnt my phone go any further than the apple icon when powering up? ive tried putting it on recovery mode and restoring it with itunes but it says there was an error (code 3004), how can i fix this? i really need my phone.😢😟😢😢
