This device cannot start. (Code 10)

I plug in the device and everything shows up properly.iTunes opens but will not recognize the device. In Device Manager the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver shows nothing wrong. Now here is the problem: as soon as I press Trust on the iPod Touch 5 the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver shows a yellow triangle with a black question mark in it.When I click properties it shows this error:

This device cannot start. (Code 10)

I've tried reinstalling iTunes, removing the drivers then reinstalling them, restarting the iPod, erasing all data and settings. At one point, the PC recognized the iPod as a Portable Deivce but iTunes didn't recognize it.What can I do?

iPod touch, iOS 7.0.4

- Try another USB port - Tried that, didn't work

- Try another cable - Tried a friends cable, same problem as above.

- Try on another computer to help determine if you have an iPod or computer problem. - Tried on a computer that originally had the same problem when I would've connect the iPod.I reinstalled the operating system and it is working now but I don't have acces to that computer right now.

I will try reinstalling the operating system on this machine and come back with my findings.
