Which RAM bank is which?
iMac (27-inch Mid 2011), OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), 32G RAM, i7 3.4Ghz, FCPX 10.1
The bank 0 is the one with the slots at the left. This means that in the photograph the bank 0 belongs to a) and c).
The bank 1 is the one with the slots at the right, where you have the modules that came with the Mac by default.

Mende1 is correct in the way he is describing the banks, you did a good job installing the RAM, iMacs do best when RAM is installed in matched pairs which is exactly what you appeared to do.
Or, put another way (and you already have done it correctly):
install them to match horizontally (in your picture: match a + b as well as c + d. That is how the picture shows; however, in the system info, it is shown in a somewhat confusing way.
