Q: Airplay - option in Iphone5 iOS7 - Not Visible

i am not able to see the AirPlay option on my Iphone 5 (ios7) Control Center. I only see the AirDrop option.

Does the phone and Apple TV need to be connected to the same wifi to see the Airplay option on my iphone5?

Are there any other options that I need to enable on my iphone?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.4
