This situation is getting ridiculous. Apple's support says - 'click airprint and press print - couldn't be simpler' - what a joke. I have never had such a complicated process to get this thing working. We have followed all the advice and suggestions and sometimes it works but then it disappears again. Judging by the number of people on these forums who have the same problem, it is not just an issolated case of ignorance or inability to follow instructions - there MUST be a conflict between Apple's software and either router, printer or both.

My mum got an iPad mini and her husband got an iPad 4. They got a brand new Epson XP-312 for Christmas which specifies it is compatible with Apple's Airprint. After much fiddling with rebooting router, printer and iPad we eventually got airprint to see the Epson and were able to print a page from Safari. We then went into Mail and thought to do the same with an email - lo and behold, when pressing the left arrow to get the print dialog (why Apple can't make the symbol consistent between their own apps, I will never know) - it produced the announcement 'No airprinters found'. Again, through much rebooting devices we got it back, but then the next time we go in to try to print something, the same message comes up and the same process has to be performed all over again - surely there has to be something which can be performed just ONCE and remains there for all subsequent printing requirements?

Anybody found a way to have airprint see the printer EVERY time?
