Q: I have never updated or backed up my iphone 4 untill today, now it is asking for a password when I try to restore backup.  Don't know it

I cannot restore  backup ' It asked for password, but I have never used or put in password since I have had phone, I updated from the original data to the 7.04

iPhone 4, iOS 7.0.4, can't restore backup,

If your backup us requesting a password in order to restore, it may be an encrypted backup; you may find the following article helpful:
