Q: i didn't set up a password and now cannot restore my backup to a new phone without one- where do I find it?

I didn't creat a password but now am being asked for one to restore my backup for a new phone...where do I get the password?

Hi swliv,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like the backup may be encrypted. This article has some things you can try if you're unable to remember the password to your encrypted backup:
