Q: ipod touch is saying the key touched

After charging my ipod touch, I tried to login but cannot. When I touch a key to login, the ipod is saying the keys as I touch them. The numbers for my password are not entered on the screen when touched only said?

iPod touch, iOS 7.0.4

If that is only happens when the iPod is charging, try a new cable.
