Outgoing Mail Server Behavior

I'm stumped and I don't know how to fix my issue.

I have an Exchange Server account for work and I too am experiencing the bug issues after upgrading to Mavericks. However, my iMac and MacBook Air are behaving differently. On my iMac, the account is online, but the MacBook Air, the acount is continously offline and i can't get any emails at all. I've tried deleting the account and creating a new one and it's still offline.

The one key thing that I did notice is that under mail > accounts > account information, the "Outgoing Mail Server" shows "Exchange, Offline" on my MacBook Air, on my iMac, it only shows "Exchange.

Does anyone know how I can fix this Outgoing Mail Server issue? If I try to edit the server, the Exchange server list never shows up.

Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Hi Donald,

Exchange server configuration is practically automatic and the settings are the same for both computers. Like I mentioned above, if there is a way to edit the exchange server smtp list, it would solve my problem.

I have a feeling it's a .plist or some preference file that I may need to delete somewhere, but it's too tricky to start erasing those files in the library folder.
