Q: If I want to gift a friend who has multiple email addresses, can he access the gift if I send it to an email that is NOT his iTunes logon?
My friend has an iPhone which he uses frequently, but I don't think he uses the iTunes store. When I was asking him about which apps he got from the iTunes store, he replied that he didn't know how or where to access or buy any apps.
What I understand he has:
AT&T contract service;
iPhone 5 [I don't know what specific version, but it IS the 5 family of iPhones];
an MMS address that sends messages directly to his telephone handset using his telephone number;
an email address on a different internet company's email service.
I've been urging him to try accessing iTunes using the desktop installable program, but I don't think he knows about that option. He mostly uses the campus computers, and they don't have iTunes installed. And he dislikes using his laptop he got for school, so I suspect he does not have iTunes installed there, either. He's not that technologically-savvy.
I've already sent a recommendation for an iPhone app, but I don't think he took the bait to try using iTunes. So I'm thinking that maybe if I pay for an app or two, or even send him a monetary gift, he might be better persuaded to get into iTunes to look around.
Thank you, to all who stop to read this, and especially to those who respond!
