iPod Nano 4GB
HELP PLEASE
I got a new nano 4GB today, checked all iTune & iPod software was up to date, checked that my 1.1 USB would cope (was assured it would - albeit very slow, have latest OSX software and thought that setting up and copying my 2GB playlist / library would be a breeze - but no.
Despite resetting/retry/restart/reinstall/restore (a few times) I can only seem to get to track 4 (of 372) then nothing. The ipod says "Do not disconnect", and iTunes says "Updating songs on ipod" but several hours on it's still dealing with track 4. I tried deleting track 4 - just in case the track had a glitch, but still the new track 4 is where things stop. I also tried stopping the iPod automatically downloading all the songs, but it seemed to want to try although I had unchecked the box.
This has been happening for hours. I get to track 4, wait a long time, force a quit, restart from scratch after 'restoring' the ipod and go through the whole sorry procedure again.
I can't find anything like it in the discussion pages and can't send an email to "Mac Support" because the models of equipment I have are not the same as the ones that they ask me to choose from (i.e. I have an eMac and an iPod nano and I'm asked to select from a iMac an d an iPod shuffle), so the serial numbers don't match up.
It's all very confusing, so at 3-00 am in the morning I beg some kind soul to give me some guidance.
