Q: I have no idea how to use the iCloud, it appears to be turned on but now what?

Turn on the data you want to sync with iCloud in Settings>iCloud.  After doing this, some of this data will appear on icloud.com when you check from your computer, and it will sync with other devices and computers sharing the account.  You can also turn on Find My iPad to locate your iPad and secure it if it is ever lost/stolen, iCloud backup to automatically back it up to iCloud daily, and photo stream if you want to stream photos taken on your iPad to your other devices, and share them with others.
