I just bought an AT&T iPhone 5 and it doesn't have a SIM card. It was reset to factory default and I'm not able to use the phone. I don't want to active the phone or put service on it, rather just to use it as an iPod basically... Any help on how to get passed not having a SIM card..?

Well I don't have one and my verizon 4S doesn't have one either and that phone still works...
Verizon used CDMA and as such no sim is required. AT&T uses different
protocol and requires sim. Sim does not have to be from an active account;
but since the iPhone is locked to AT&T, it must be an AT&T sim. Go to AT&T
to ask for an inactive sim, or borrow one from friend/relative/co-worker.
So is there a way for me to use my Verizon iPhone 5 SIM card in my AT&T phone??
