My purchased movies in Apple TV are gone! How do I get them back

I don't know if it's the update or...? I haven't played any of my purchased movies for a month or so. Now when I select movies in Apple TV, my movies don't come up at all. When I look at my purchased movies in itunes on my computer, there is no play button. Very frustrated. Please advise.
