Brand new MacAir and the screen went completely black but back light is still on the keyboard but nothing else is happening?

I just received a MacAir for Christmas and everything was working just fine and suddenly my screen went completely black and nothing is happening. It's fully charged and the back light on the keyboard is still on... Is this normal? It seems to be a manufacture defect...

MacBook Air, iOS 7.0.4

This is not normal.

You can return a new Mac within 14 days of purchase.

A new Mac is in warranty for 1 year from the date of purchase.

A new Mac comes with 90 days of free tech support from AppleCare.
