does macbook pro need to to install adobe flash player and adobe air ?

I like to know that, is it safe to install adobe flash player and adobe air and sockwave player into Mac Book Pro ?

If it's safe than do I need to install only Adobe flash player or Adobe Air as well from adobe website ?

thank you,

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1)

Yes. Download it from Adobe site. Install it. Restart. Then "Allow plug-ins"

Safari > Preferences > Security.

I am not familiar with Adobe Air.

Yes. Download it only from Adobe site, not from anywhere else.
