Q: The mouse arrow isn't responding

Hi I just got my 2013 Mac book pro with retina, I'm setting up the Mac for the first time. I pressed the F10 button trying to lower th volumn, but instead the mouse arrow on the screen freezes and not responding at all. What should I do?!

Press command + option + esc keys on the key board.

In the resulting window, click the "Force Quit" button.
