Q: When you buy a gift card, can it come in a digital code?

I want to use my American Express card to buy a ITunes gift card, but I don't want it to be shiped as a card. So can the code be emailed to my recipient?

    It sounds like you want to gift an amount of money to a someone to use in the iTunes Store, but specifically do not want to make it a physical gift card. This article will help you do that named:

    Gift an amount on an iOS device


    1. Scroll to the bottom of the main page of the iTunes Store or App Store.
    2. Tap Send Gift.

    4. Sign in to the iTunes Store with your Apple ID.
    5. Type the email address for the person you're sending the iTunes Gift to.

    7. Tap an amount you’d like to gift or type another amount.
    8. If you want to, add a message.
    9. Pick the day you want to send the gift.
    10. Select a theme for your gift.
