How to change the default search engine in Safari

I am using Safari in Windows 7, and I have recently switched search engines from Google to DuckDuckGo. I have been trying for ages to change the default search engine in Safari, but it appears that the Safari Preferences will not let me change this. I was wondering if anyone could show me how to change the search engine to something that is not Bing, Google or Yahoo!. Thanks.
