How do I know if Sims 3 will run on my MacBook Pro?

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro, purchased new in October 2012. It has all software updates as of today. I'm looking to buy Sims 3, but am unsure if it will work on my laptop.

(1) How do I look up what type of graphics card I have, or can someone just tell me based on how old my Mac is? Intel HD 4000 is what I think it is.

(2) Here is what EA games says The Sims 3 needs to work on a mac. Does my MacBook have all this?

  • Mac OS X 10.5.7 Leopard or higher
  • Intel Core Duo Processor
  • 2 GB RAM
  • ATI X1600 or Nvidia 7300 GT with 128 MB of Video RAM, or Intel Integrated GMA X3100.
  • At least 6.1 GB of hard drive space with at least 1 GB of additional space for custom content and saved games
  • This game will not run on PowerPC (G3/G4/G5) based Mac systems, or the GMA 950 class of integrated video cards.

If I don't have the system requirements, what are my other options? Is there something I can download to make Sims 3 work?
