How do I receive Verification Code if I do not have cell service?

I have four devices (one iMac running OS X, 10.9.1, two iPads and one iPhone). The iPhone is no longer operative as a cell phone. I had the service switched to a land line, which does not have texting capability. I have previously set up my iCloud account. Whenever I open either iPad, I get a message that my iPhone is still pending approval on iCloud and after entering my four digest security code, I get a message to input the Verification Code which has been sent to what was previously my cell number and is now my land line. Obviously, I will never receive the text message containing the Verification Code. Is there a work around for this situation?

iPad 2 Wi-Fi, Windows 7

Change the number to a device owned by a trusted friend that can receive sms messages. (To change the number, go to Settings>iCloud>Account>Keychain>Number.)

I suppose you could try using it without sms verification as explained at the bottom of this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT6020. You may have to turn it off on all your devices and start over to do this. Don't really know as I don't use it myself.

I've decided it's not worth the extraordinary effort involved to utilize iCloud. I can update my devices through my home wireless network. Thank you for opening my eyes.

You're welcome. I find iCloud syncing works well with all my devices, but avoid using iCloud keychain. If you want to secure passwords, I think the 1Password app is a better solution.
