Why won't my messages appear on my lock screen?

My messages will show up in the notification center and on the little badge app icon, but they will not appear in banners on my screen, and they do not appear on my lock screen or never make a noise when my phone is on lock to notify me.

I unlock my phone to see all of these texts that I did not know appeared because it will not notify me on the lock screen and it is extremely annoying!!

I turned on everything in settings, it says the banners is turned on.

If you are not receiving notifications on the locked screen, such as Text Messages / iMessages, and the corresponding Alert Tones. The correct fix is SIMPLE:
1. Go to SETTINGS.

2. Tap on the Blue Moon "Do Not Disturb"

3. Turn OFF "MANUAL"

- When Do Not Disturb is enabled calls and alerts that arrive while locked will be silenced and a moon icon will appear in the status bar.

So when it's set to MANUAL, you have turned off all of the notifications that should ordinarily appear on the screen while your phone or iThing is in it's Locked state. This could be a nasty prank to pull on someone who you don't like.
This setting has cost my wife thousands of dollar$ in lost business so use it wisely.and if someone switches it on, on your phone I hope that my post helps you get it fixed quickly.
