Would like to remove the Admin. password
iMac, OS X Maverick (10.9.1). Being alone , I don't need the Admin. password.
How can I remove it?

Apple strongly recommends that all users, including single ones, have a password. Why is it a bother?
Apple strongly recommends that all users, including single ones, have a password. Why is it a bother?
Go to the users and groups pane and set the password to be blank. You of course need to know the old admin password to do this.
Note: I strongly recommend you do NOT do this, as if your machine is lost or stolen you're giving away the farm, but it's your choice.
