I have a iPod touch 5th generation and the front camera isn't working. No matter what app, the front camera just glitches up and in some apps, such as snapchat, it shows that there isn't even a front camera at all. I have restored it and reset it.

I've also tried deleting apps that use the front camera at all with no luck. If anybody has a solution to this problem, it would be much appreciated for someone to take the time to explain how they fixed it! I take very good care of it and the screen is fine, and the camera worked fine before this, so I think it's a software problem. It was purchased as a christmas present for the christmas of 2012, so it's just over a year old.

Try:

- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

- Reset all settings

Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.

All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

- Restore from backup. See:

iOS: How to back up

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
