iPod touch keeps restarting; won't turn on!

My iPod Touch 4th generation running iOS 6.1.3 said my battery was dead with that little graphic, so I went to go plug it in. About 12 hours later, I went to go check back on it and it showed the Apple logo. Then about 30 seconds later it went back to the battery graphic. Then 30 seconds later, back to the Apple logo. This is an endless cycle. Can anyone please help me? I need to use my device. Thanks, any suggestions are welcome!

Try:

- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

- Try on another computer

- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
