can i use one thunderbolt port as a video input?

so i just bought a Late 2013 21,5" iMac, and i know that thunderbolt techonlogy accept output and input, so, can i use it to connect another device and use mi imac as a reciever? if not, WHY? APPLE, PLEASE put this feature on an update now!

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.1), iMac late 2013

You can. It is called Target Display mode, but on a Thunderbolt iMac like your Mac, it only works with other Thunderbolt Macs (Late 2009 and Mid 2010 27-inch iMacs could be used as an external display for some PCs and even for a Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3).
