so i just bought a Late 2013 21,5" iMac, and i know that thunderbolt techonlogy accept output and input, so, can i use it to connect another device and use mi imac as a reciever? if not, WHY? APPLE, PLEASE put this feature on an update now!

You can. It is called Target Display mode, but on a Thunderbolt iMac like your Mac, it only works with other Thunderbolt Macs (Late 2009 and Mid 2010 27-inch iMacs could be used as an external display for some PCs and even for a Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3). I'm sitting here using a 27" Late-2009 iMac, looking for a totally different issue - but this caught my eye! How do you do it? I would love to not have to buy a television, of which my only use would be gaming on a PS3 (PS4 if possible?).
The Kanex XD adapter allows you to use your Late 2009 27-inch iMac as an external display for a Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3. It has not been tested with the PlayStation 4

Sounds good. Back on Apple's side, will support for 1080p input through this port eventually be added?
