Q: I have forgotten my passcode, how can I reset it?

Hi,

 

Can anyonw help!  My son cant remeber his passcode for his Ipad and I cant restore the device as the find my ipad setting is switched on, so Itunes wont allow me to retore.  Anyone know how I can resolve this?

    Hello wjkelly1808,

     

    It sounds like the passcode lock has been forgotten so you cannot get into the iPad, and you cannot restore it becuase you cannot turn off the Find my iPad is turned on. As long as you know the Apple ID password for the account you should be able to use this article to unlock the iPad. There are different instructions for whether or not you have synced the device to an iTunes library so follow the directions accordingly.
