How do you block no caller ID calls
I have blocked someone on my iPhone. They realized they can call me under private. How can I block a private call?
iPhone 5s, iOS 7.0.4

its carrier specific call them

I have sprint. They said they do not offer that.
There is no way to block a phone number in iOS 7 unless the number is available. If Sprint does not offer a solution, then there is none.
So even though I blocked this person & they call me under private I'm just supposed to deal with it?
unfortunately, yes.
You can go about this the other way:
Instead of saying "Who can I block", think about "Who can I allow?"
You could turn on Do Not Disturb, and say "Only allow calls from the following folks to go through."
The problem with that is it will still allow an unknown call to come through. Since there's no number to it, I can't allow it or block it.
That's a good workaround. Only problem I see is if the user doesn't pre-designate a number to be allowed to call (say, like their auto insurance company), and then the call never goes through completely... Hmm, although I guess they can just leave a voicemail,a nd then the user can add the number as an 'allowed' number.
Right. Voicemail is where the call goes. I agree one would need diligence in checking voicemails. And yes, if the caller does not block their inbound number, the person receiving the call can add this number to their "allowed" list.
as i said some carriers will block calls sprint is not one of them. sorry theres nothing you can do and what sberman recommends is way to much trouble

I contend that is up to the original poster.
The steps of Settings > Do Not Disturb = "On" do not seem like a whole lot of trouble to me.
Sure it's an individual choice, and it might not be to the original poster's liking. But then again, it might.
I agree. It's a solution to the problem, and it's up to the user to decide if it's worth the effort. Just like everything else in life.
First off, carriers want to charge for this service. It should be an easy fix via the OS to block any call without a numer thus No Caller ID. APple is in it for the money and probably get a kickback from the carriers. I had Android phones that would do this also apps. I'm done with Apple products as they're not all that great. This is a joke in this day and age.
I found a service called TrapCall that says it unmasks private callers and allows you to block them. Just signed up, will let you know how it works, but so far so good.
