Reclaim free space on 2013 MBA

Hi

I have a mid 2013 MBA with 512GB flash disk. I was doing "cleanup" on my drive to free up some space. But no mather how much I deleted from the drive then the info from "diskutil" did not free up any space nor did the used space decrease.

However when I use "cmd+i" on my harddrive from the desktop, the free space do increase and the used space decreases. Why the difference?

I've also tried the tool "disk scope" and thats the same issue as with "diskutil"

Is there something wrong with the MBA or does the OSX cleanup at some later point and free up the space?

You may notice a difference in available space statistics between Disk Utility, Finder, and Get Info inspectors. This is expected and can be safely ignored. The Finder displays the available space on the disk without accounting for the local snapshots, because local snapshots will surrender their disk space if needed.
