    Restart your computer, see if it did transfer the data, and if it didn't start over.

     

    Another option is to erase your hard drive and use Setup Assistant.

     

    Boot into the Recovery Volume (hold down command - R or hold down option/alt key key to select Recovery) and restart. I would run Disk Utility Repair Permissions and Verify/Repair, then erase before installing. Then reinstall the OS.
