Final Cut Pro X Not Exporting?

I've been working on a project for weeks now in FCP X and now that I need to export the project from Final Cut it won't work. The problem started when I would go to share > export movie and it would simply not do anything anymore, no error message no nothing. As a result of this I purchased Compressor 4, this solved my problem temporarily but now has stopped working to; what happens is I click: share > export using compressor settings > next > save, this opens the share monitor which displays the project as "processing" a couple minutes later and the project is still in the processing stage, finally, with no progress done and the loading screen still displayed the export "fails" and it gives me a message: Video Rendering Error: 60. Now, if I try to export through the compressor once I set the target and setting the app stops responding and I can't start the batch.

I have tried every export option, I can't even export as a DVD, I have plenty of space on my hardrive, my project is rendered and basicly everything should work... but it doesn't.

Thanks for your help,

Nick

P.S. I also believe this started after the 10.9.1 update FYI.

During weeks i had error - 60, error -50 . It is very frustratting, What worked for me is the following:

Disable app nap

Update to latest version

Delete rendered all files

Empty trash

Restart machine

Copy all files in timeline and paste into a new project

Share again

Delete files unnecessary files

Hope it works good luck . Please let me know if it works for you. Thanks

My problem came up last night, when I had no issues two days ago. I removed the app and reinstalled it, check marked the "app nap" and it still refuses to export. I tried deleting clips and exporting, still refuses to export.

I have OS X Version 10.9.4 (13E28) MacBook Pro. No updates for FCXP exists for my version. I checked the app store, system updates and whatever I could get my hands on. Mavericks was uploaded/updated July 2.

I think that first of all you should check to see if the problem is bound to the specific project you are trying to export, or more general.

Create a brand new project, add something like a title or a generator and export. Does it work?

1. If this test project exports, then it is almost certainly something in your own project.

Does your project play in the timeline? Do you see any yellow warning triangle in your events?

2. If even the small test project fails to export, then you may try deleting preferences. This is even easier now: hold down command and option while starting the application and you'll get a dialog asking you if you want to delete them. Confirm. See if things have changed. (deleting preferences is completely innocuous, even if it does not solve the problem; none of your content will be affected).

I already downloaded; the app store shows it as updated in the Update section.

What I did was exported my videos from SD disk/digital camera (not Quick Time Videos), which is not the first time, to the desktop. After opening FCX, I used media import to get the videos from desktop. I set up my video as designed, just basic editing such as cuts, words, transitions (although I found this a bit odd, the transitions were a bit wonky, some I just directly placed onto the clip, some had a pop up telling me something about (can't remember) moving the transition and should I go ahead? Which by nature I did) and two picture files. Nothing fancy or elaborate as many would use FCX for.

Then I clicked on the export icon, chose Master File. Nothing came up, not even the lovely rainbow 'waiting' circle. I went to export and tried YouTube (as this is a homework assignment for my masters course), nothing happened (same as mentioned).

I did clean up my laptop because of memory shortage, there was nothing outward. Many of the projects I did were already moved to my external HD so I just cleaned up old files.

This morning, I did search (during class) for possible solutions and resources that would help me figure out the answer. I was led to one of the threads here on Apple Forums which explained how to remove and reinstall the FCX app as well as the "App Nap" information. I made sure the FCX was updated and looked at the Maverick information that was disseminated through this thread. Nothing worked.

I am currently working my university's lab and the exportation works. The FCX version is 10.1.1. I don't know what's going on. Since I am using an university computer, I can't update anything for that computer. The computer's OS X information is Version 10.9.3 (has not been updated).
