Finder/Spotlight won't find .m4v files that are located in iTunes Media

My startup disk is out of space, so I've decided that I'll compress my 100+ music videos (I know, I have a problem). Instead of going through every artist's folder(s) in iTunes Media, I decided I'd just put in .m4v into the search bar. Only 2 music videos showed up. To test if this was for all iTunes media (and whether it worked for purchased items or not), I searched by .m4a, .mp3, etc. Anything that I had purchased from iTunes wouldn't show up. I'm a lazy person, and I want to be able to find everything and move it quickly. Can anyone help me do this?

(Less "junk", more question)--> Anything I've purchased from iTunes won't show up by file type when I use any search function on my mac. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks!
