Ipod nano 7g JBL flip portable speaker radio and bluetooth

Hello.

Is it possible to connect the ipod nano 7g to the JBL Flip portable speaker via bluetooth or cable (and therefore which cable?) to listen to the radio?

It seems that the that the earphones need to be plugged in, acting as the antenna, to get the radio working.

But it stops the bluetooth connection at the same time!!

A bit dissapointing that we might not be able to use all ipod nano functionalities with a portable speaker.
