The password is set up by the owner or administrator of the wireless router. If you are using someone's wifi, you need to ask them for the password.
If you are setting up your own wifi network, let us know including the make and model of your router.
I have tried that password from the router, it seem to be a request from the computer it says airport network needs password, I have tried my administrator password but no luck, my PC works just fine on the wifi I set up, it must be a password in airport, I have used a wifi at a business office with this computer, it must be a setting. I'm thinking that I need to get a new program and it will let me change the passwords, is that correct? 10.4.11 does not seem available for my computer I have no intel processor, any suggestions

Be sure you are using the right password. Any wifi router will have two passwords:
These two passwords are different and exclusive. If you know one, it will not give you access to the other (unless the administrator made them the same, which is usually a bad idea). So make sure you are entering the correct one.
Aloha Network 23, I bought this computer used and the past owner couldn't remember any passwords, I figured out administrator but obviously not this, am I screwed or is it possible to change this, wifi network password? This makes me nervous about buying another apple used, unless the past owner gives you the passwords it is a partly able computer, I bought this apple just to see if it is as great as they say and Apple is more human compatable but not if you don't have the original passwords June

It sounds like a few more distinctions are needed here.
If it is the router asking for the password ("The Wi-Fi network X requires a password"), and you have the administrator password for the router, you are OK. Because if you have the access to change the router settings (which is what the administrator password gives you), you can change the password of the wireless network.
(If it was the other way around, if you only had the wireless network password and not the adminstrator password you would be able to join and use the network but not change the router settings.)
If it is OS X that is asking for a password ("Keychain Access wants to use the X keychain. Please enter the keychain password."), that is an administrator password for the Mac itself, not the router. If you do not have that password because the old owner didn't give it to you, you need to reset it. Your post says you are using 10.4.1 so try the tech note below.
OS X: Changing or resetting an account password (Snow Leopard and earlier)
If your Mac is using OS X 10.7 or later, read this instead:
You will be able to change the wireless network password using router administration password.
You will not be able to change the wireless network password using the router administration password, because that only controls the Mac and not any network equipment.
You may have to learn how to reset the wireless router's password so both of your computers can use it. The same password to login would apply to both, and it should never be the Mac computer Admin user pw. The wireless base is a separate item. That wi-fi password would end up in the Keychain... if you let it. But the former owner of the computer should've wiped the HDD completely and left you with only the basic all new OS install, and original install-restore discs. If the model didn't have a built in Recovery Disk partition, as later ones do.
Separation of user permissions, privileges, and passwords are different than external wireless ones, until you choose to let the computer use a known-good and secure local connection to the internet via your base. You can reset or remove a previous password from a wireless router, and from a computer. However the matter of a firmware password is another matter in an OS.
Good luck & happy computing! 🙂
