Q: forgotten passcode for ipad

Forgot Passcode for Ipad Mini. Tried using iTunes but am told that Find iPhone must be disabled. How does one disable Find iPhone when the device is locked?

iPad 2, iOS 7.0.4

Is Find My Phone turned on?

You'll have to login to iCloud.com, from any computer, locate, then erase your phone. Once done, restore from backup, if you have one.

That's the only way for you to fix this.

My trouble appears to be that the iPad is not being found through Find iPhone it is offline. Also is there no other way to unlock without erasing? Christmas morning videos you see. Ugh!

Take it to an Apple Store. It's pretty much bricked.
