The Worst "Feature" on Pages 5

Why does one text box affect another in Pages 5? How do I stop it? When I move one text box it forces the others to move. I cannot fathom why this is a good "feature." The text boxes are not connected in any way. I do not want Pages making adjustments for me. I want to do them myself.

This was a default setting that was changed in the latest version of Pages.

You want to change the Placement and Wrapping settings to make the objects independent of other objects. Select the object you wish to change, and make sure the Format inspector is selected. Choose the Arrange tab and under Object Placement choose "Stay on Page". Under Text Wrap choose "None" from the dropdown menu.
