I have three webcams that I used on my old 1st. gen Intel Mac Pro - all unsupported now and so much junk with OS 10.9. I've been looking but I can't seem to find anything. Surely, there must be something that can be used with Photo Booth or Facetime or Skype.

Logitech makes several that work with Macs.
This site has lists of Mac compatible webcams, including prominently featured Logitech webcams.
Like everything posted on the web, the author has a [sometimes hidden] purpose. In this case it appears that amazon is behind the site.
I own a couple of LogiTech webcams. I am quite happy with them. I'm not familiar with your site link, Grant. I've always gone directly to Logitech's site to get model numbers, then search Google for reviews and prices.
Your recommendation of Logitech is a good one. Using the site i referenced, I was able to get enough information to make an informed purchase. I ended up with a logitech webcam for my Mac Pro.
The site I referenced is a nice "landing page" that brings up issues specific to use with a Mac, and plays brands an features against each other in a way that a specific Vendor's site may not. It is a good starting point.
One need not, maybe even should not, use that site as your ONLY buying guide.

Grant, you are in OS 10.6. One of the three Cameras I have is a Logitech (which worked fine in 10.6). I think I was wrong to frame the question around a Mac Pro. I should have centered it around Maverick. Logitech has no camera currently that supports Maverick - at least that I could find.
I'm using one that works just fine with Mavericks. I bought it two or three years ago. It's a C615 model that retails for $70.00.
Is there a web camera for the mid-2012 Mac Pro?
