IOS 7 Overwriting Lock Screen Password

So I updated to IOS7 and FREQUENTLY, when I try to unlock my phone, pressing the next digit in my password will have it overwrite the previous entry. So if it were 1234, the 4 would overwrite 3 making the entry 124_. It makes it VERY difficult to get back into my phone, it took 5 tries this time, with the second to last attempt overwriting numbers until it was back to one digit entered. Unacceptable glitch in an upgrade and I can't downgrade! How do I fix this?
