Macintosh 128k boot problem

Hello,

I just got a macintosh 128k for Christmas, it came with a few floppy disks, the original keyboard, and a external hard drive.

So when I hooked it up on my 'desk of computers', and hit the switch it showed the 'looking for system disk symbol' so I thought 'well it takes a little time' but a few minutes later, it didn't do anything. So I put a few floppies in it, but it didn't do anything, but one of the disks that I put in made it say the 'happy mac' and then it spit it out and showed the x symbol on it. It did not come with the system disk or a Mac OS disk. It just came with some disks with documents and program's such as Microsoft word 1.0 and those old programs like that. Anyway, if you can help PLEASE POST A COMMENT

Thank you
