Help syncing iPod to new computer...

I recently got a new computer, and at first I was having trouble transferring my iTunes files from the old computer to the new. But now that I've done that..., I can't seem to sync my iPod with the new library. I'm thinking maybe it's because when I was trying to transfer my files over I turned on Home Sharing. But I deactivated the old computer and the new computer still won't sync it. It says it's syncing but then when I go into the iPod to look for the newer songs that are in my current library, they aren't there. The iPod is the same way it was the last time it was sync'ed with the old computer...what should I do?
