Downgrading Maverick to Mt. Lyon?

Hello

Before I consider buying the latest Mac Mini, (preloaded with Maverick), as usual, I have to consider that much of my expensive software will be null & void; particularly Pro Tools 8 & 9. I've already done the research, and no I'm not willing to run out and replace this software.

I look at this way; I can either buy an earlier used Mac Mini compatibile for a fresh install of either Mt Lyon or Snow Leopard.

Or perhaps, (only if possible), reformat a new Mac Mini with Mt. Lyon. But I don't know if this work considering 'other' mis-matches in hardware etc?

Thanx for your opinions

Mac Mini MD387LL/A < The lastest

Mac Mini MC238LL/A < An earlier model
