Sorry that I'm so so stupid but - is this

- a movie You bought and want to View - or -

- Somthing You created and want to burn to a DVD as a Video-DVD ?

If first case - iDVD is not the program to use - it is a Video-DVD authoring tool. I would:

- try other DVDs to see if this is a faulty batch

- repair permissions

- trash pref. file doocuments related to DVD-Player tool

- RUN A Cleaning DVD in Your player (Not with Liquid but the ones with brushes ony)

If Second

- Still Cleaning DVD is a good start - I do now and then

- I only use Verbatim DVDs - as most CHEAP brands DO NOT WORK for Video !

- I use DVD-R - as they play on more and even older DVD-players

- I set down BURN SPEED to x2 or max x4 to get as few burn errors possibly = Better DVD

- I secure a minimum of 25Gb free space on START-UP (Macintosh HD) Hard Disk - else iDVD will have problems to perform.

Yours wildly guessing - Bengt W
