how to show garageband welcome screen

Hello there!

I just installed GarageBand and I skipped the welcome screen for some stupid reason and I'd like to see the welcome screen again everytime I start the app.

Best Regards!!

The way to enable the welcome screen on GarageBand '09 (iMac) is to click the help button at the very top mid-left side of your screen. There, you should see an item in the dropdown menu that says, "Welcome to GarageBand." Select that option, and the welcome screen will appear. If you want to see the welcome screen every time you open GarageBand, simply check the box on the bottom left of the welcome screen that says, "Show this window when GarageBand opens."

I hope that helps!

Sorry,

I thought you wanted to start with the new project screen each time, instead of your most recent project.

I am still looking for the file, where GarageBand is storing the information that you already dismissed the welcome screen. My suspicion is, that one of the preferences files is storing this, but I have trashed all GarageBand10 preference files I can find by now (in ~/Library/Preferences, ~/Library/Preferences/ByHost, ~/Library/Containers, ~/Library/Caches) , and none is bringing that screen back.
