what is Omnipage SE

My iMac has a lot of issues; Looking at my APPS I see Omnipage and wonder if that could be a problem. Do APPS ever cause older Macs to have issues? My mail crashes ever since I installed Maverick and support can't find the problem. It then transferred onto my new notebook. YUK

OmniPage converts scanned image files into editable text files. Older applications that were designed to run on previous versions of Mac OS can cause issues or wont run at all. Check the system spec of all oo the 3rd party applications on your Mac. Remove the ones you no longer need.
