I have hit my home key twice to see the apps I already have open, i would like to close the apps, but holding my finger on the icon won't bring the apps to wiggle...any suggestions? I am able to wiggle the icons to delete them in the first home screen though...

What exactly are you trying/wanting to do ? If close apps via the device's taskbar, what iOS version is the device on ?
With iOS 7 it's changed slightly - you still double-click the home button to open the multitasking bar, but you now swipe or drag the app 'screens' from there up and off the top of the screen to close them :
I have the same problem. It seems every app on my iPad is open and I cannot find a way to close them. The fix you suggested does not work for me. What a waste of resources. Please help. My OS is 8.1.
Hi, do you have restrictions enabled on your ipad? If you do, DISABLE them. This might be the cause. Thanks
